Iona University, New York
English through Model UN, with a guided tour of UN Headquarters
Two weeks in one of the most inspiring cities in the world: students live and study on the Iona University campus in New York State and learn English with qualified native-speaking teachers, in a program run in the style of the Model United Nations (Model UN), together with students from different countries.
The program includes trips to discover Manhattan and its most famous landmarks, from the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building to the United Nations Headquarters, and more. The GoGlobal team from home supervises and accompanies them step by step, from departure until they are back home.
Students learn in small groups with peers from different countries, practising how to express their positions in English through a hands-on simulation of the UN's structure and procedures.
They develop public speaking skills in front of an international audience, and strengthen leadership and diplomacy skills.
15 hours a week with qualified native English-speaking teachers, with a maximum of 20 students per class.
An online English level assessment before arrival, a course book and learning materials, an end-of-course report and a certificate.
By private bus, supervised by activity leaders, with a New York City Pass for entry to the most famous attractions.
